Debates at St Margaret's College Middle School
Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, through its South Youth Service, organises sessions and activities within St Margaret College Senior and Middle Schools of Bormla. Within the Middleschool, apart from the weekly sessions organised, this year 2 debates are planned.

The themes for these debates are rights and responsibilities of young people and also the role of women within society. The main aims of these debates are to first and foremost raise awareness of the rights and also to promote gender equality because it is vital that investment of such topics are done within an early age and keep being consistent along the years. Secondly, it is equally important to invest in young people the necessary skills of how to debate and solve problems. Due to a number of challenges, young people need to be supported when dealing with stress and control their emotions, hence why such opportunities will help them grow in this regard.

The first debate was held on Wednesday 20th November regarding the rights and responsibilities. Young people enjoyed this experienced and participated a lot. It was great to see young people becoming more aware of gender equality and appreciating each other more.
We would like to thank St Margaret College MiddleSchool for their continuous support to the Aġenzija Żgħażagħ Youth Workers.
