Celebrating International Women's Day

Gender parity won't happen overnight. The good news is that across the world women are making positive gains day by day. Plus there's indeed a very strong and growing global movement of advocacy, activism and support. Many claim that you can't be what you can't see.  That's why it's so important for girls and young women to see their fellow females at the top of their game.

Due to unconscious gender bias- ingrained in society and learned from a young age, women still often have to work harder than men. But this doesn't mean that it's not possible or not worth trying. In celebration of International Women's Day, BPW ( Valletta) Malta organised ' Career's day' were professional women got together to mentor and empower young girls. From sport to science, technology, engineering and mathematics, youthwork, food to fashion, women are smashing it in all industries. Agenzija Zghazagh whilst being present throughout this whole event empowered young girls to explore the youth workers profession.

HRH Sophie Countess of Wessex and HE Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta were present during this event. Both HRH Sophie Countess of Wessex and HE Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta answered questions concerning different roles within our community which were brought forward by young girls.
