YSSS 2018: deadline 15 June 2018

Applications for the Youth Specialisation Studies Scheme (YSSS) are now open for students aged between 18 and 30 years who would like to pursue their studies abroad, including post-graduate and distance learning courses.

The YSSS is a loan at a subsidised interest rate jointly offered by Aġenzija Zgħażagħ and APS Bank. It grants each borrower up to €30,000 and is repayable over a maximum of 10 years. It provides 100% financing for first degrees, post-graduate degrees and distance learning courses, especially ones focusing on aerospace, health and biotechnology, digital games production, veterinary studies, agriculture and marine studies, youth work, sport, nature conservation, specialised restoration and the arts.

Additional features of this subsidised loan include a repayment holiday of up to five years, free travel insurance, and a free VISA Debit Card for the first year of studies.

To apply for the YSSS Study loan, students will need to present the following documents

Application form
• Europass CV
• Scanned copies of qualifications
• Course curriculum
• Letter of acceptance from the relevant institute or university
• Letter of reference on applicant's character and integrity
• Copy of applicant's ID Card (and spouse's if applicable)
Budget planner
• Brief explanation about how your future career plans will benefit from this academic course

In the event that a loan is granted, successful applicants are obliged to provide the Bank with a life insurance cover for the whole duration of the loan.

Applications for this scheme are to be submitted by email to agenzija.zghazagh@gov.mt or by post to Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, St. Joseph High Road, St. Venera SVR 1013 by not later than noon of Friday 15th June 2018.
