Voting Voices Responsible Choices

When the Vote 16 legislation came into force in March 2018, many young people clamoured for more civic education to be able to navigate this new right responsibly. Voting Voices Responsible Choices is a set of workshops rolled into one seminar which Aġenzija Żgħażagħ is currently presenting to Year 12 students to give them some hands-on experience on what it means to be enfranchised and how to use this right responsibly.

These seminars will run until the end of March and during this period around 1000 students will have participated in a simulation of the electoral process as experience by a political party. These workshops seek to debunk the myth that politics is only for a select group of people by giving all those present an opportunity to participate, debate and submit a set of proposals relevant to the needs of young people.
